A couple of days ago we were all heading out to the van and Sophie saw a big black snake by her foot and went screaming into the yard. I freaked out because I am terrified of snakes and I demanded that Duane go fetch the shovel from the shed immediately and kill the snake that had slithered into the beautiful lily bush that is by our front door. Well, he got the shovel and started hacking away and he didn't find the snake but he sure did kill the bush. Thanks anyway, honey.
