Lillianne had her first ballet, tap, and tumbling class on Saturday.  She loved it and she can't wait to go back.

GIDDY UP!

He tried to grab the candle and we all shouted and grabbed his hand away and it scared him so he didn't want anything to do with his cute Sheriff's Badge cake.




Saturday we went to my nephew Luke's first birthday party.  It was completely cute. It was a cowboy theme (obviously!) and my sister did a great job making it fun.  The kids had a great time playing in the fun jump and the food was delicious.  Happy Birthday, sweet boy!

SCOOBY DOO

This is one of those "you had to be there" jokes so I am recording it in the blog more for our family than anything else but a couple of weeks ago Duane started doing the Scooby Doo "Huh" noise complete with hand gestures on top of the head for the ears whenever something didn't make sense and we just cracked up over it.  He and I started doing the "huh" all the time (even in public, like when somebody says something really stupid or something you can't believe) and the kids are getting into the act now.  Yesterday I told Lillianne she better straighten up or she was going to have to take a nap and she put her hand on top of her head like a shark's fin and went "rrrrrooooo".  I thought I was going to pee myself I laughed so hard.  We are so silly.  The sound bite of Scooby doin' his thang is below.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Duane is working all day so not much fun for us but I hope all of you who are home today have a great day and enjoy some delicious holiday food. So glad summer is over and Fall is on it's way.  It's my favorite time of year.  We don't really get any Fall weather except temps in the 70's and 80's and the occasional cold front but I love Halloween (my favorite), Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  Bring it on!  I especially want all the teachers out there to relax and enjoy today.  You deserve it!
