Our local performing arts council brought a touring family to town called The Hunt Family Fiddlers. They specialize in Irish Dancing and Fiddling. They were nice enough to treat the local Suzuki students to a free fiddling workshop last night and Sophie was thrilled to go. She had a great time learning fiddling songs and Irish dance steps. The family was amazing. Two parents and 7 children (7!) and they all played the violin and were great dancers as well. The local newspaper came to cover the event and Sophie ended up being in the featured photograph. When the reporter asked her name and told her that her picture would be in the paper Sophie said "Oh great, my hair is NOT done!" Can't wait until she's a teenager! Here is the link to the newspaper article.
